Manicure/Gel Polish/Nail Varnish
- Wear gloves when hands are in water/chemicals for prolonged periods of time
- Wear gloves when gardening or carrying out any tasks which may take a toll on your nails.
- Use a good quality cuticle oil at least daily on your nails. Rub this around the cuticle and under the free edge of the finger nail to help keep cuticles and skin in good condition.
- A good quality hand cream used frequently will also be beneficial.
- Some suncreams/hand sanitisers/insect repellent may affect the gel polish/varnish on nails. If possible, wipe nails clean after use.
- Have a Gel Polish/Nail Varnish professionally removed. Picking at the gel polish/nail varnish can cause damage to your nail bed.
Pedicure
- Skin is the first barrier of defence on the foot so dry/hard skin will start to rebuild if left to its own devices following a pedicure. To help to maintain the effects of the pedicure, use a good quality foot cream/mousse to maintain hydration.
Gel On Xtensions (GOX)
- Gel On Xtensions are temporary enhancements to the nails. Over time they will begin to grow out. With proper care, they should last for up to 21 days.
- Please remember that these are “Jewels, not Tools”. Therefore, please don’t use them for prising things open etc. This can cause damage to the Gel On Xtension and also potentially damage your nail bed.

Repairs
- Repairs will be carried out free of charge if the failure of the service is notified with photographic evidence to Phoenix Nails with 72 hours of the service being carried out and there is no evidence of trauma having been inflicted by the client. After this time, a small fee will be charged. This fee is a pro-rata of the overall service cost.
